Do we really have a choice in life, or is everything a simple reaction to others actions.
My entire life I have been taught that God gives us free will, but whats the point of having free will with a conscious. When you know right from wrong and your heart is not filled with hate or selfish desires. It is very hard to just do whatever you want and not think about the consequences or the affect it has on the people around you; especially when those people are people you love and respect.
Sometimes I feel like there is no choice, you either do whats best for everyone else, or do whats best for yourself. Is that really a choice?
If you can't keep the people around you happy in all areas of life, then you really don't have much of a choice. You either continue down that path alone, or put your feelings aside to maintain peace with the world. I'm not sure either is a true choice in happiness. I guess it all comes down to what truly makes you happy in life and what you really need to make your life complete. Then the choice is up to you.
